Art and Design Research: Exploring Research Process and Presentation

Research can drive a design project, helping you to understand your product, market and users. It can also be a source of artistic exploration and inspiration. When pitching any project, research findings are a key part of the story you tell your audience, providing important support for your art or design decisions.

This workshop, sponsored by the Library and Career & Professional Development, is for anyone who wants to learn more about the principles behind effective research and get tips on how to make that research part of a compelling story. It will be immediately beneficial to anyone in a Sponsored Studio, or otherwise pitching an art or design project as part of a class, thesis, freelance project, or internship.
