Latinx Heritage Month: John Parra in-person at ArtCenter Archives & Special Collections In-Person

Join ArtCenter Library as we celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with an in-person talk with children's book illustrator and alum John Parra! A multiple recipient of the Pura Belpré Honors Award, John Parra is known for illustrating works such as Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos (2017), and Waiting for the Biblioburro (2011). His most recent book, Growing as an Artist (2022), is one that he both wrote and illustrated, inspired by his own childhood, and has received multiple awards from Kirkus ReviewSchool Library Journal, and Publisher's Weekly. Anyone interested in children's book illustration shouldn't miss this!

This talk will be hosted in-person at ArtCenter Archives & Special Collections at 6:00 PM on September 22nd. Seating is limited, so registration is required.
